  • Finally!!!

I’ve been slacking so hard on reading since my commute isn’t a thing anymore and I’ve been trying to get more into audio books. This is such a smart idea!! Love the hosts and can’t wait for more recs. Will definitely keep listening.

  • Long overdue!

I’ve been looking for a show like this. I listen to 2-3 audio books each month, but no one really has done something like this for the medium. You have all these rewatch shows, but this is basically a re-listen show. Also, I just love everything Ed Helms does. Nard dog!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

“Heads Will Roll: Heir Apparent” with Emily Lynne
Q: What is the division of labor look like between you and Kate during writing?
The process was largely egalitarian; Kate started with notes while Emily organized them into a final breakdown, and then they split the scripts for production, combining their strengths to shape scenes and dialogue.
“Dungeon Crawler Carl” with Matt Dinniman and Jeff Hays
Q: What class would you choose if you made it to the third floor, and what kind of character do you enjoy voicing most?
Matt leans toward Ninja for agility, while Jeff enjoys voicing monsters and complex antagonists, which he finds most fun to perform.
“Dungeon Crawler Carl” with Matt Dinniman and Jeff Hays
Q: First, what three things from your immediate surroundings would you want in a dungeon scenario?
Jeff suggests boots, a jacket, and a knife, while Matt would want a Nintendo Switch to lock in a safe room and play through the experience.
“Project Hail Mary” with Ray Porter
Q: Can we talk about how Project Hail Mary came to you and what your initial reaction was reading the manuscript?
Porter describes Audible reaching out and his enthusiasm for the physics-heavy, dialogue-rich material, plus his prior familiarity with Weir's work, which made him eager to narrate.
“Seek the Traitor’s Son” with Veronica Roth
Q: What did you want readers to take away about ambition and prophecy?
I want readers to see that prophecy can reveal possibilities but doesn't remove the need for personal resilience and choice; fate doesn't have to dictate your path.
