Enjoy Doug’s interview style and format. Michael Connelly is my current favorite author, as I am working my way through all of his books while in between other reads. Understanding his process answers so many questions I have about his many works. I began through a recommendation with The Poet. I told my mom how much I enjoyed it and she recommended Bosch. I love all the interconnectivity with the characters. I enjoy how plainly and accurately he describes scenes and settings. My husband and I... more
I love this podcast. It’s so interesting to learn about the different styles of creative process each author has developed! Doug is a skilled interviewer who seems very comfortable with every guest.
A few authors I would like to hear interviewed:
Aussie - Jane Harper
Ruth Downie - her Medicus series is genius
David Sedaris
Edward Rutherford
Michael Connelly
Craig Johnson
Thanks for the great show.
Doug Brunt, thank you for allowing your listeners to be a fly on the wall while you converse with all of these talented writers. I find your discussions fascinating from inspiration to process and everything in between. I’d love to listen to a discussion between you and TaylorJenkins Reid. I’m curious about her process as she creates stories around fictional celebrities. Thanks again, Doug, for creating a space for storytelling from the perspective of the story creators! I can’t get enough!
Our family loves reading and your pod. Will you please interview Charles Martin. Start with “Water Keeper”. I discovered his books when I was staying at a friend ranch that rescues trafficked girls and this particular book is about trafficking although he has many other books on different topics. Most all fiction.
If you could get Rick Atkinson on, my brain might melt. I argue, he’s one of the best authors of present.
