This is exactly what I want in a literature podcast!! Great choice of books covered so far; respectful and educated takes, especially considering how dated some of the books/ideas are; great chemistry between the hosts; perfect length and discussion. Ugh! Please continue on forever
Quickly became one of my favorite listens. I really enjoy the thoughtful insights, deep dives into the written words and meanings and just overall so pleasant. It’s a great blend of a great book club conversation and an interesting college lit class. Really well done and looking for more!
This is a must-listen podcast for anyone who loves literary books and craves the community of a book club and wants to be part of the current conversation about books but doesn’t actually want to join a book club.
I’ve been listening to this and The Book Riot for several months and enjoy the content when it doesn’t get too political. Lately, it seems to be getting more so, or I’m just noticing it more. I decided I was getting way too annoyed every time I listened and have decided to unfollow both. There are plenty of bookish podcasts that never get political. I’ll spend my time there.
This podcast is definitely a cross between a book club and Lit class. The discussions are insightful, respectful, and thought provoking. It is a great way to revisit books I have already read. I feel smarter at the end of each discussion. I love getting book recommendations for similar books, and I am motivated to read the other books in unplayed episodes. This podcast is just what I needed.
