I love this podcast. I am a bookworm and enjoy so much listening to the host discuss books and recommend books. They are so light and funny but also knowledgeable and serious about books. This is such a great gift. Loved the episode about best books. My favorite of 2025 was The Hallmarked Man by Robert Galbraith. Itâs book 8 of the Detective Strike series and itâs fantastic.
I love books and I love reading, and I LOVE listening to Ann and Halle talk about books. Iâve discovered many great reads, old and new, from listening. I also love how Ann and Halle share some about themselves and their lives, related to their reading journeys. I listen to many book podcasts, but this one is my favorite. Each episode is like sitting down to talk with my friends about books - my favorite pastime.
Long time listener and Halle- Iâm pretty sure youâre my reading twin! The min I read the title of your latest episode about what books shaped you as a reader today my first thought was âWesting Game and Babysitters Club followed by SVH - (the twins were never as good)-and VC Andrews.â
One of my fave memories as a kid- Friday nights our family would go out to eat- a lot of times at the Ground Round (IYKYK) and after we would be treated with a trip to the mall to buy a book! For me it was always ... more
Iâve been listening for a few years and this is my favorite book podcast. Halle and Ann are so knowledgeable and their conversations are fun and full of book recs. They come off as really down to earth and it feels like listening to two friends chat about one of my fave fave- books!
I love the natural, relaxed banter, hosts personalities, and how the episode themes vary, but it gets frustrating trying to stop and look for the books as they talk. Other book podcasts post links, which makes the experience better. Please include, then it will be 5 stars!đ
