  • The source of my never ending TBR

So much on my TBR is from books mentioned on this podcast. My tastes actually align more with Susie and Catherine’s than Sarah’s, so glad they are on the show

  • DNF Queen

I’ve listened to this podcast for a long time and was a Patreon for a while as well. I used to really love the author interviews but it seems as though she’s cut way back on those per a Patreon survey saying people didn’t like those episodes? While I like the format of the show the host is not very well read, DNF’s so many books (once saying she DNF’d a book after 2 pages lol), has a very small wheelhouse, and just seems so clueless. So many of the same books are talked about over and over and o... more

  • Great overall book podcast

Truly this podcast is the best I’ve ever listened too. The varying reading tastes of all three hosts is a perfect mix for a wide variety of readers. I enjoy all of the extras that Patreon members receive. But if you’re just a non-paying member you also get a wealth of recommendations. I can’t say enough good things about this podcast and what it’s done for my reading life.

Ep. 208: Best of Narrative Nonfiction with Elizabeth Barnhill of Fabled Bookshop (@FabledBookshop)
Q: Any subgenres that do not work for you?
Well, very rarely do celebrity memoirs work for me because I really don't care. So that's not the fault of the celebrity. It's just not my thing.
Ep. 208: Best of Narrative Nonfiction with Elizabeth Barnhill of Fabled Bookshop (@FabledBookshop)
Q: Tell us about your background with Narrative Nonfiction.
I've always loved just interesting stories from real people and loved history as a kid, as a student. I really probably should have majored in history.
Ep. 207: Regina Black (Author of August Lane)
Q: How do you feel about sticking tightly to romance genre tropes?
Regina states she loves tropes as narrative tools but believes in creating stories that feel unique and compelling, rather than conforming strictly to tropes.
Ep. 207: Regina Black (Author of August Lane)
Q: How did you get into writing romance novels on top of your day job as a law school administrator?
Regina shares her lifelong passion for reading romance novels, noting that she has been writing since a young age, but only thought about publishing during the pandemic when she revised an old idea.
Ep. 206: Behind the Scenes of Book Festivals & Author Interviews with Jason Blitman (Host of the Gays Reading Podcast)
Q: Where do you see the podcast and the brand in five years?
I am a planner but also believe in organic evolution. I focus on sea changes in my creative instincts and execute them as they come.
