- Disappointed in the push for AI
Update: as of 2 Feb 2026, I’ve ended my patreon subscription to this podcast and won’t be resubscribing. The reoccurring love for AI is a turn off and even more so given that one of their guests hosts now owns an AI company. Beyond disappointed that women from big cities that claim to care about other humans, forget that people in small towns and other countries are taking the brunt of the damage and costs of AI use.

I’ve always been a reader- but my reading has really diversified and expanded since I started listening to Currently Reading, Kaytee and Meredith are real bookish friends who talk about what they read each week- and I love that they don’t just talk about books that were smash hits. I enjoy their spicy opinions as much as their rave reviews. Being a bookish friend on Patreon adds some exceptional content that I highly recommend as well.
