From the Front Porch is such a comforting, authentic listen. Annie feels like a sweet friend chatting about books, and every episode leaves me with a fuller heart and a longer TBR. I especially love the episodes with guests — Hunter, her mom, her husband, Bookshelf staff… they always add a little something special. This podcast is cozy, thoughtful, and endlessly charming.
i absolutely adore this podcast but the ads have become increasingly distracting. i would pay extra each month to have access to an ad-free version.
I look foward every Thursday to listen to this podcast! Always get so many good books to read!!
I love this podcast and how Annie manages to address the book needs in an ageless manner. There is something here for people in various life stages and that’s not always the case with book reviewers. What I’d like to see coming up is some narrative nonfiction choices. For example, I loved Seabiscuit, The Boys in the Boat and Destiny of the Republic. Truth is sometimes more illuminating and entertaining than fiction!
This pod was recommended based on my listening habits. I like the rapport between the hosts.
Mary Karr was name dropped. She’s a queen on par with Ann patchett. No one else comes close. Might I recommend Sarah’s bookshelves to you?
Personally I’m a little perplexed that the Correspondent seems to appear on every list.
