I appreciate the content and topics but have tried a couple times to listen and just can’t handle the poor audio quality. The distant echoey sound, the tink tink of stirring your drink (that’s what it sounds like), and crinkle crinkle of papers or clothes moving. I’m not a podcast host but I am a musician who records and I know there are some affordable and easy ways to improve this. Please do, I’d love to listen!
Oftentimes the content of this podcast is excellent and I take a lot from it. Two things bring my rating down:
1. There often feels like a bias towards men being the manipulator/controller. I encourage the host and guests to be more inclusive in pronouns and language.
2. For the love of god, fix the audio. The background noises (it literally sounded like someone was cooking and/or eating in an episode!) are distracting to the point that I stop listening.
I love this podcast. I’ve learned so much and look forward to each episode but please Brook, DO NOT HAVE Kelly Avallone on your show again!!!! It was TORTURE. Verbal DIARRHEA OF the mouth. There is no flow to the conversation. It’s just her giving poor and repetitive examples. This was a poor topic to talk to an attorney who seems like a narcissist herself!!!
I am so grateful for this podcast!! Really helps me in this difficult process of coparenting . So much of my anxiety and concerns have been addressed in a beautiful way in this podcast. I really found it life changing for me and my son.
I regret listening to the early episodes of this show. Maybe they were leaning more towards a male audience at the beginning. One of the hosts seems very emotional about his divorce and it makes me not trust the things he says about his former partner. Also, the personality disorder episode got so many things wrong. Avoidants are not inherently narcissists. Crazy things for a “professional” to say. They also entirely left out fearful avoidant attachment style. I sincerely hope the show gets bett... more
