Karl M Part 2 of 5 - Recovered 1445
Q: How about if I have been sober for 10 years and not taken the spiritual part of it? Am I then recovered?
If you haven't done the steps, you can't be like me. It's important because it's so easy for the alcoholic mind to think they can just stay sober without working the steps.
Karl M Part 2 of 5 - Recovered 1445
Q: Are you recovered if you've been sober for 70 days?
If you have not worked all 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, then no, you are not. You are in a very dangerous point; you are in untreated alcoholism.
Step 1 - Recovered 1436
Q: Buddy, you opened up about powerlessness. How does the "we" of the program provide a safe space to admit powerlessness?
Yes, because I do not want to need anyone. I think it goes back to the principle that when I help you, I'm really helping me.
