It’s hard to listen to the content of some of these stories, but wonderful that folks are given a space to speak. Dev is a good host who respects her guests, their time, and what they have to tell. There are other pcast hosts who could take some notes. Sometimes i have to skip if too gnarly or speaker is tough to listen to.
Zero storytelling skills on the parts of the guests, but ultimately it’s the host/producer’s job to edit so it’s possible to listen without wanting to tear your hair out…
The story tellers are regular people so some are better at talking than others but the host, she interrupts at the worst spots. She stops the storyteller mid sentence forgetting that there are other people listening. Sometimes she strays them so bad they never go back to what they were saying making it hard to listen to. Not sure why she hasn’t worked on this.
I love love love this podcast and am obsessed. Mainly listen in the car. However I wanted to make note that the guest or your phone vibrating is very distracting from the content discussion. Otherwise amazinggggg
