  • Sleep, peaceful

I listen to this as I fall asleep every time he never fails. I like him and I like how some of the guest are his friends so the high school stories and drugs Are relatable to him , very authentic. The besides him and we are all insane. I can’t listen to anybody else and I don’t know why I listen to the male stories more than the woman, (I’m a lady) but I’m glad everybody overcame their addiction. Very proud. Currently take Suboxone not because of any reason, but they are kind of addicting. I hop... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

She Started Smoking Meth At 15 | From 20 Years Homeless & Prostituting Women To 7 Years Sober
Q: What was your rock bottom that got you sober this time?
I overdosed and had a near-death experience that forced me to confront my life, followed by a realization that I was worthy of love, but initially I didn't believe it. This moment catalyzed the decision to seek real recovery rather than temporary breaks from drugs.
I Found Out I Was Adopted At 13, Got My First DUI At 18 & Did 4 Months In Jail | 3.5 Years Sober
Q: What advice would you give to parents who withhold adoption information from their kids?
Be honest and loving; provide a clear narrative that fosters belonging and reduces shame, rather than letting secrets fester and complicate identity.
I Found Out I Was Adopted At 13, Got My First DUI At 18 & Did 4 Months In Jail | 3.5 Years Sober
Q: What finally helped you commit to sobriety long-term?
A combination of deep personal heartbreak, a four-month jail stint, supportive sponsors, and a shift from consequence-driven to purpose-driven sobriety through helping others and building a recovery-focused life.
I Found Out I Was Adopted At 13, Got My First DUI At 18 & Did 4 Months In Jail | 3.5 Years Sober
Q: What was the moment like when you learned you were adopted, and how did that connect to your drinking?
Learning I was adopted at 13 felt like a defining moment that intensified my sense of being different, which I tried to manage with alcohol and risky behavior beginning in early adolescence.
I Lost My Job, My Wife & My Son To Alcohol & Oxycodone
Q: How did your early life and upbringing influence your addiction and recovery?
A hard-working, emotionally reserved family background created pressure to perform and conceal feelings, which fueled anxiety and overachievement. This contributed to drinking as a coping mechanism, but opening up through therapy and support helped redirect that energy positively.
