  • Something different

I have no idea how I came across this podcast. I don't know that I've ever known anyone who spent time in prison. But I've always believed they should be treated with dignity and respect and rehabilitated if possible. Thank you so much for bringing out the humanity in people who have in prison. The stories are fascinating and I hope they encourage people still in prison and people who are now their life on the outside.

  • Love the REAL stories

Long time listener here. I listen to nearly every episode from beginning to end, and am always intrigued. While I do want the best for Ian and Matt on this podcast, the newer episodes with the celebrity guests aren’t doing it for me. I’m sure it brings a lot of new listeners in which is great and all, but try not to forget about us listeners that are here for the real stories from the real ones that we’re down, not for these people that claim to pay their way through and “run” their hard time 🙄... more

I Was a Paramedic Who Cooked Meth — Then Got 35 Years in Federal Prison | Kevin Christian
Q: How did you learn to make meth?

I Was a Paramedic Who Cooked Meth — Then Got 35 Years in Federal Prison | Kevin Christian
Q: What was your upbringing like?
He describes a middle-class Kansas City upbringing, a stable family background, and a sense of ordinary life before getting involved in crime, with the paramedic career forming a strong pull away from that earlier path.
