I like this podcast. Andrea has a very comforting style. Her topics make me feel seen and understood. I came from dysfunction junction and have been working through it for 20 years. I have one complaint that took me a long time to actually listen to this podcast. I do not approve of AA. I was in AA and was attacked and bullied. I had to leave and almost got a restraining order from my sponsor and the persons who attacked me. I do not like the strong Christian aspect of AA either. I’m an atheisti... more
Discovered this podcast and has become my best friend as I am on my healing journey. THANK you Andrea.
If you are looking for objective discussion, this is not the podcast you are looking for. The conversations have great information and potential for healthy debate, however the audio is heavily edited when there are disagreeing views. It makes the conversation disingenuous and leaves me wondering what was cut out. The host is looking for validation and confirmation bias and I think that explains the 5 star reviews from other people that are also validated through the host’s perspective.
Before the host speaks with authority on complexities of the origins of personality disorders, she should have done more research. And for her to say that one’s entire personality can be made up of trauma responses is so diminutive and such an insult. We are much more than our trauma complex or otherwise. If I were a potential guest of her show, I would be wary of agreeing to partake lest I be treated rudely if she didn’t agree with what I have to say
I was floored by how rude this woman can be towards some of the guests she invites on her show. She invites them just to argue her point and discount theirs. Whyyy?
I am really not understanding the 5 star reviews at all.
