Why, I appreciate many aspects of this podcast. I love deep groove, jazz records and record collecting in general.but this podcaster focuses on his mental health issues more than deep groove records. Honestly it comes off as a sad man rambling. He often considers not collecting records any longer. I hope he finds joy in life
Wow! Thanks for being so open about your struggles and approach to collecting. Been a huge fan of your YouTube videos, as well as all the great work at dgmono.com and the superlative research that was put into rvglegacy.org. Thank you for all the valuable information and insight. No pressure for more, though it will most definitely be appreciated if you get more done down the line. Most important is your health, so continue at a pace you’re truly comfortable with. Peace!

A thoughtful, confession-driven show examining the psychology of collecting records, budgeting, and the emotional highs and lows of vinyl obsessions. Episodes regularly explore how obsession, joy, mental health, and social dynamics intersect with music taste, gear, and community norms. Distinctive strengths include candid self-reflection from the host, practical advice on budgeting and collection workflows, and a willingness to surface vulnerable topics like jealousy, burnout, and self-care within a niche culture. This combination makes it appealing to listeners who want deeper context around why people collect and how collecting affects well-being, identity, and relationships.
