  • Moving away from his mission

There must not be much abuse happening in IFB churches now, because Eric is moving into politics. I agree with others who have said to start a different podcast for that. I still attend an IFB church and listen to find out what to look for in my church, but this podcast is delving into areas that don’t seem to deal with abuse. Starting to lose me as a listener.

  • Very true

I was raised in an IFB church and went to an IFB college for one year and these stories are all too common.

Obviously her husband was (is?) in a years-long mental health crisis which escalated into severe delusions, paranoia, erratic behavior, and horrible violence. And all the church did about it, was to fire him for bad theology. What a terrible disservice. It's just so sad the lack of basic knowledge that people growing up in church recieve. Mi... more
