We're taking it allll the way back to the very first Discovery special. A rewatch for me (Whitney) and a side-eyed first watch for me (Tim). In light of some...uh...legal happenings, we look back from the beginnings of this saga to catch the cringe, the red flags, and the tater tot casserole.

The show has decided to give us a break from reexplainingthat Lego Hair and Pest are doing a competition to lose weight. Instead, we watched Jinger and Jessa (in a totally not staged scene) asking their parents if they could do a fundraiser at a coff... more
Let the workout montage commence! Now, I would usually say that this episode had way too much Pest in it, but most of it is getting roasted by their new personal trainer. It makes it okay. We watch as the kids plant seeds to do a little plant growing... more
Here we are at the underwhelming payoff of last episode’s cliffhanger. We get to see the meeting with the doctor to go over Lego and Pest’s medical exam results. Neither one of them eats well, nor exercises, and the results are what you would expect.... more
So, we are here again, at the recycled plot line of “Lego needs to lose weight”. This time, we got Pest involved so we can see the mens show off how competitive they are. The whole episode lets us explore our new bingo square: “Who’s a Big Man?”. The... more

I’ve been fascinated with the Duggars forever, but not fascinated enough to do what the host does. Every episode has a lot(a lot!) of research and background. Events are put into context and timelines to fully explain the family issues. Highly recommend.
Love this podcast, slowly catching up to real time. Episode 138 introduces a Momo minute in addition to the Mildred minute, and I would like to propose that be renamed to the Momo moment, if it ever comes up again! If it does in the episodes I’ve not yet listened to, glad to know there are other great minds thinking alike :)
Again, love this podcast <3
I’ve loved going through the Duggars episodes with a different perspective and the extra topics are really interesting and well researched.
I WAS WRONG! So good, very well researched! And guuuuuuurl, that Michelle voice gets better with every episode 🤩
My #1 Podcast! These two bring so much heart to the Podcast. They feel like friends, and Whitney has a galaxy brain when it comes to deep dives. Highly recommend- exceptional content, even more exceptional people. 10/10

Across episodes, they dissect timelines, power dynamics, and controversial affiliations within evangelical networks, using archival footage, firsthand commentary, and thoughtful humor to illuminate manipulation, belief, and the personal costs involved. The show stands out for its deep dives that balance nostalgia with sober critique, entertaining banter, and a clear through-line about how media narratives influence real lives.
