Very nice and interesting podcast. Maybe a little less personal talks and innuendos between T and W would have made it really perfect.
This is my current favorite podcast. I found it a few years ago because my brother was an IBLP cult member. Whitney and Tim discuss all situations with grace and realistic views. They have compassion for people stuck in ugly situations. Everything is discussed with humor, random memories, and fandoms from their own lives. Keep up the amazing work!
This podcast is the best!!!! I can’t believe it took me this long to find it. Only on episode 50 so far and so happy there are so many more to go.
Listening to Digging Up the Duggars is such a highlight of my week. I grew up IBLP-adjacent and there is no greater joy than listening to these two people trash talk all the horrible beliefs I was raised with. The amount of dedication and hard work Whitney gives this show is unmatched. I really can’t say enough good things about this. I love the long episodes, how they’re formatted, and the chemistry these two share. Hearing them explain their inside jokes and life stories makes you feel like yo... more
I love how much content there is in this podcast for people who have a morbid curiosity about IBLP/evangelicalism/quiverfull. At the risk of sounding like a parasocial weirdo I love these guys and wish we could arrange a play date for our cats.

A sharp, provocative look at a public religious family, exploring how fame, parenting norms, and conservative culture intersect in often cringe-worthy reality moments. Hosts Whitney and Tim mix thorough show recaps with candid critique, humor, and personal anecdotes, offering context on the broader world these family dynamics sit within. The tone is informed, rebellious, and empathetic toward listeners who grapple with religious trauma, while keeping a steady focus on media narratives, parenting philosophies, and how early publicity shaped later controversies. A notable strength is the chemistry between the hosts and their willingness to tackle heavy topics with accessibility and sharp humor, making it appealing to listeners who enjoy deep ... more
