I love this show but some of the ads I’ve heard on this show are the most inappropriate and dystopian - ad for psychics, ad for weight loss, ad for AI for children. I really lose respect for the host.
From the very start we regular followers know the usual Greek Tragedy that is about to unfold. 🥱
April is a competent, focused young woman who prioritized higher education before marriage. This is critical for obvious reasons. However, for reasons unknown, April didn’t participate in dating boys/men where she might have built better scrutinizing skills, for example, of not being blindsided by her husband’s behavior.
Starts out good but eventually, I suppose in an effort to get more stories, it just becomes rich women complaining about their husbands cheating on them. Or rich women whose husbands defrauded other rich people leaving the women without their rich lifestyles. Earlier episodes are good though.
i've listened to every one of these stories. it's shocking how many people, myself included, get played by deranged individuals. what heather says at the end of her episode rings the most important to me: what the podcast gives victims is the recognition that it's "not just me". and that is a big big part of healing when you've spent any amount of time being made to think that you were the deranged one.
This show blows me away each week. The victims are so brave and transparent. The storytelling is exceptional. Personally, I’ve never experienced what these victims have, but I appreciate their stories and wish them all the best!
