  • Spectacular in every way!

I just forwarded this podcast to my daughter, who also loves true crime series, and this is what I said…”Promise me that you will listen to this all the way through. To every last word. It is the best all around series I’ve heard in YEARS!!! Bringing up all kinds of thoughts, feelings and opinions and surprising me along the way.” I love this show and these people, Bobby and Jermaine. I Want to visit the church with Pastor Jermaine. That’s how moved I was here.

  • Slooow

The first season was fine. Ads, retelling the same thing every episode, but ok. Second season could have been told in 2 episodes. I swear they slowed their voices down in a couple episodes to stretch it out. Nancy Glass’ verbally drawn out and manipulative reporting in the 2nd season feels like a pity appeal and cheapens their stories. It’s really unfortunate.

  • Hope In Humanity

Wow I’ve listened to countless true crime podcasts, including many about wrongful convictions similar to this one, but I’ve never come across someone as remarkable as this man. He is truly unique—an extraordinary human being the world needs more of right now.

This isn’t just a story of a wrongful conviction and redemption. It’s a story about hope, resilience, and humanity. It reminds all of us that there are still genuinely incredible people in this world.

Thank you for giving us that hope, Je... more

Talking Points

Redemption | BONUS | Season 2
Q: Were there any questions that you asked him that he just refused to answer?
No, he was completely open. He answered everything and stayed in the moment, even when the questions were painful.
Equal Justice | EP 7 | Season 2
Q: What is the core issue at the heart of Jermaine Hudson's case?
The core issue is the use of non-unanimous juries in Louisiana, which allowed convictions with only 10 of 12 jurors agreeing, based on a historically racist framework, leading to wrongful convictions and the need for a reexamination of past cases.
The Burden of Truth: Tracyraquel’s Journey for Justice | S1 — BONUS
Q: What do you think of that letter?
Most of what she said in the letter is the same information that Ted had said to me when I was speaking to him in the early to mid-nineties.
The Burden of Truth: Tracyraquel’s Journey for Justice | S1 — BONUS
Q: Do you regret having made the documentary and the podcast?
No, I do not regret doing it. I have moments where you wish you could have your cake and eat it too, but if that makes some sort of sense.
Jan Berry Sandlin | S1 — BONUS
Q: What about Tracyraquel saying that you put out a cigarette on her?
Jan responded defensively, disputing Tracyraquel's accusations and insisting he had never harmed anyone.
