  • My favorite podcast show by far!

I’ve always been super interested in the subject of cults, as well as the LDS church in general, and am fascinated by all that I’m learning from this show. It’s pretty much playing 5+ hours a day, and there are so many episodes and stories I can’t wait to get to.

  • Best host for sensitive interviews

I absolutely love this podcast and the host. She asks how people are doing instead of just focusing on their past traumas. We still also get the full story, but I just find her so charming, caring and charismatic.

  • Love it!

I felt a little skeptical of this podcast at first because the photos and headlines kinda feel like tabloids, but the host is truly lovely and I’m very inspired by her. She listens to people with no personal agenda and because of that people can go deep in their sharing. Being fully listened to is very rare and it’s just beautiful to witness it. It’s a bit like listening to memoirs. Thank you!

JUST SENTENCED: Ex-Wives to Polygamist Cult Leader Reveal What Happened in Court
Q: What was his sentence after the verdict?
He received a total of 74 years, combining the federal sentence and the state term, effectively a life sentence.
Inside NXIVM Cult’s Collapse and the Hollywood Actress Behind It (ft. Bonnie Piesse)
Q: How did you and Mark begin to plan your escape?
As the joy faded and signals of danger became undeniable, we started covertly gathering information, reading cult literature, and coordinating with trusted former members; you realize you cannot walk away safely while the group actively resists, so you shift to a staged departure with plans to protect each other.
Inside NXIVM Cult’s Collapse and the Hollywood Actress Behind It (ft. Bonnie Piesse)
Q: What was the turning point that made you realize something was wrong?
Gaslighting by Nancy Salzman, aggressive feedback cycles, and a growing sense that the 'help' was eroding self-worth and autonomy culminated in a clear moment of recognizing manipulation and danger, especially as the body and mind started breaking down under intense demands.
Gloriavale Cult Survivor Exposes Everything WRONG with New “Devotion” Doc (ft. Lilia Tarawa)
Q: Do you think the documentary fully captured the scope of the issues, or were there important parts missing?
There were significant gaps; the documentary sometimes presented a balanced view that excluded critical details, particularly the voices of survivors who left and the deeper systemic issues that enable abuse to persist, which leaves audiences with an incomplete understanding.
Gloriavale Cult Survivor Exposes Everything WRONG with New “Devotion” Doc (ft. Lilia Tarawa)
Q: For those who haven't seen the documentary, can you explain what Gloriavale is like and how life there shaped your experiences?
Growing up in Gloriavale meant a highly controlled, insular environment with arranged marriages, intensive labor, and a pervasive belief that obedience to leaders defined one's faith; even as I grew older, I saw how abuse was handled internally, which allowed harmful behavior to continue without accountability.
