  • Who’s that guy?!?!

Not a fan of the guy cohost. So many of these stories are really unique to the female experience and it feels weird that he’s in the room with us. He doesn’t add anything and the show is better without him.

  • Miss the old format

I have enjoyed this podcast for years. I was never in an MLM but definitely was exposed to plenty of them. After listening to other podcasts and coming back, it’s unreal how much of it is ads. 3 min of ads to start, plus the pointless banter that can be from 3-6 minutes, so at about 10 min in, you finally get a few minutes of content. I miss the interviews with survivors of MLMs. I do enjoy the deep dives, but miss the old format.

  • Seems the focus has changed sadly

Used to LOVE this podcast. It was my show 100%. Couldn’t wait for new episodes to come out and support on other platforms. Now it seems the focus has been lost. The actually anti-mlm part/“story” seems to be hardly there and more random stuff talked about. The addition of the co-host (bf) seems more of a distraction, annoyance and takes away from the podcasts Sadly it is hard to listen to anymore. Wish the focus would go back to the anti-mlm, cult or whatever the topic is, not random talking. ... more

  • Why do I still listen at all?

I used to love this podcast, but so much of it is pointless now. I miss the interviews with ex-MLMers that used to be the focus of the episodes. I keep listening hoping it will get better, but it’s just not. Also, I’m happy for Roberta that she found love again, but Mr. F offers almost nothing to the podcast and seems to be a significant reason as to why it has gone off the rails. Their banter sounds like 2 high teenagers.

  • Mr. F is a strange addition

I am so glad Roberta found happiness. Mr. F does not add anything to this podcast though. It makes me feel like it’s a cult of one or something. I’ve always seen her as intelligent and thoughtful. Now I can’t keep listening because it feels Iike immature young kids not informational.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 354 : Agara Life
Q: So I'm going to ask you a question, Julie. Have you heard of The Magic Coffee Lady?
Julie says she hadn't heard of that specific name in her preliminary research, but the discussion pivots to a broader pattern of how origin stories and external sources shape MLM narratives and how such traces can lead to connections with Agara Life.
Episode 350 : The Downline
Q: What was your inspiration for switching from the convention to the car party?
Budgetary concerns drove the shift; a car party is cheaper to produce than a full convention setting, and it allows a contained thriller atmosphere while still telling the same human story.
Episode 337 : MLM Mini Dive : LifeWave
Q: So we're going to be talking about LifeWave patches today. What do you think their patches actually do?
The patches are non-transdermal stickers that supposedly reflect infrared light to influence energy flow and meridians, with claims of improving energy, sleep, and athletic performance, though the hosts remain skeptical and emphasize lack of solid scientific evidence.
Episode 329 : Cathy Callahan
Q: If you had a magic wand, what would you change to make MLM a safer place?
Teach people how to make money and provide better business plans; help them understand what they really get into.
Episode 329 : Cathy Callahan
Q: What do you feel is the good in MLM right now, where you sit as you see it?
The people are pure-hearted and have great intentions; the model is low-cost and low-risk, providing an entry point into entrepreneurship.
