Dream fans....WE ARE BACK!

We're reimagining The Dream as a weekly interview podcast with guests and segments about, I don't know.... whatever we want? Don't worry! We'll still be focused on the "American Dream" and all the assholes that make it infinitely harder to achieve. We'll just have a bit more freedom in how we present it.

  • Sophomoric

Just finished Season 1. Let’s start by stipulating the MLM companies are generally evil. If you want to understand why that’s the case, and their negative impact on real human beings, I would recommend not relying on those who clearly lack even a modicum of an understanding of basic economics. If this group had spent a bit half as much time actually educating themselves on the subject as they did selecting the “cutesy” music to play underneath the interviews (is this what passes for journalism t... more

  • Amazing…it used to be

I love this podcast!!! I’ve never binged listed to entire seasons of shows until this one!!! EVERYONE has experience with MLMs and WELLNESS!!!! SO informative!!!

Update: The more recent season is disjointed and turning political. I expect you’ll be trashing Charlie Kirk next! I’m out, and that is a shame!

Update: I loved this podcast! I tried one more… after a few minutes of Jane failing against the evils of capitalism….while making money yourself because of capitalism, I had enough!! AGAIN!

  • Not political?

Then proceeds to compare Donald Trump to an MLM while billions upon billions of fraud being exposed in every Democrat city nationwide. Your podcast is a joke and so are you, you’ve lost a listener.

  • Who cares what you think about Trump?

What a disappointment! This podcast has so much potential to be fun and interesting, but you always have to talk about Trump and complain about him when you really don’t know very about the fact that these same enforcements were happening under Obama and Clinton. I hope that you will be complaining about them too because they deserve equal time! I wish you would just keep your personal beliefs to yourself and focus on the very interesting aspect of MLMs!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Magic Little Pills
Q: Why did people trust or distrust vitamins in the 20th century?
Public trust was shaped by scientific discoveries, mass production, marketing influences, and fears about deficiency; this mix led to both enthusiastic adoption and skepticism, especially as companies leveraged personal liberty narratives to resist regulation.
Magic Little Pills
Q: How did the FDA's ability to regulate supplements change over time?
Regulatory power shifted away from the FDA due to legislative actions like the Proxmire Amendment, which limited the FDA's ability to set standards, allowing the supplement industry to largely self-regulate.
Magic Little Pills
Q: What exactly is a vitamin, and how does it differ from a supplement?
A vitamin is one of 13 essential micronutrients needed in small amounts for health; dietary supplements, while they can include vitamins, are a broader category that includes many non-vitamin products and forms, such as botanicals and specialized blends.
The Antidote to Trickery
Q: How is deprogramming different than programming?
Deprogramming helps individuals recognize how they've been manipulated psychologically and enables them to reclaim their autonomy without pushing any new belief systems.
The Antidote to Trickery
Q: What do you mean by psychological manipulation?
Psychological manipulation occurs on a level where people join cults or get scammed out of a need for happiness, often not realizing how prone they are to being taken advantage of.
