I find this show stupid, most of the time they talk about what you already know from listening to the episode. I don’t feel it. It’s behind the scenes as it is safe to be. Total waste time.
I’m canceling my premium subscription because the show is adding more opinions and commentary instead of new stories. Kinda narcissistic, or maybe just cheaper for Dateline. Either way it’s not worth it anymore.
As one of the previous reviewers stated, there are several repeats that show tv a date of being new that have been on in prior times. I am definitely glad I do not pay for a subscription for the ad free especially under these circumstances. However I don’t think any episodes should be held back for the listener simply because they haven’t paid for the ad free subscription. If we are willing to get through the commercials, then why withhold the episodes as a ploy?
Please consider giving Keith Morrison his own podcast! He is the only one that I want to hear.
They are releasing several other podcasts under Dateline and now you can’t find real dateline episodes. Please create new podcasts and stop putting them all under this one!

Roundups of contemporary and developing true-crime stories, blended with in-depth legal context and investigative storytelling. Episodes often pair reporting from NBC Dateline correspondents with expert legal commentary to unpack complex cases, recent trial developments, and the evolving role of media in high-profile investigations. A distinguishing element is the frequent use of on-site reporting, family perspectives, and courtroom analysis to illuminate both the human impact and the justice system dynamics behind headlines. Listeners likely value thorough narrative construction, investigative rigor, and practical legal explainers, with a cadence that mixes timely updates and deep dives.
