I’m filmmaker and musician Alicia J. Rose, and I want to empower women with the motherf$#@!% energy to start a revolution. By 2030, one billion women will be in menopause. One. Billion. Imagine if every man’s testosterone flatlined by 50 — you think the world would stay quiet about that? Welcome to menopause: complete hormonal upheaval. And perimenopause? She’s the chaotic, b*tchy, opening act tha... more

As I write this, I’m 3 months out from seeing a new doctor after years of my PCP telling me I wasn’t suffering enough yet to get on HRT. I can’t believe how much I see myself in the experiences discussed in these episodes. My resolve is strengthening. By the time I actually get in to see someone, I will be informed and pumped enough to advocate for myself. I’m ready to feel like myself again. Can’t thank y’all enough for making this podcast or my friend for telling me about it.
I’ve just discovered the podcast and I’m loving it - inspiring, truth telling, myth busting punk wonder, exactly what this perimenopausal girl needed. It’s so good to feel so heard, so seen and so spoken to. Seriously, thank you guys and can’t wait for the documentary.
Finally some folks who share my values and whom I can trust to talk to me about menopause - highly recommend! Love that you touch on topics that no one else is covering even in this currently saturated space thank you ❤️
This podcast is excellent! Alicia is a super engaging pod host, the conversations are compelling and much needed.
I've been hoping to find other gen x women in the alternative/punk/goth scene who are taking about the 'pause ♥️🖤♥️

A candid, fuel-injected show that centers menopause, perimenopause, and women's health through the lens of art, music, and personal storytelling. Episodes pair interviews with musicians, writers, and healthcare professionals to challenge medical misinformation about HRT, advocate for better access to care, and empower midlife women to reclaim energy, creativity, and autonomy. The tone blends candid vulnerability with activism, often weaving in feminist critique, community support, and calls for systemic change. Noteworthy is the founder's mission-driven approach to turning personal health journeys into broader social change, plus frequent collaboration with medical professionals to demystify HRT and menopause for a broader audience.
