The info is generally good, but they all plug the Cleveland Clinic hard at the end of each podcast, and make it sound like you’re doomed if you don’t go to a cardiothoracic surgery “Center of Excellence” which is maybe not even a real thing — google it.
I am so thankful to have the amazing docs at CC offering their expertise on a Podcast. These docs and their teams saved my life a few months ago.
Today’s episode with Dr. Patrick Vargo was most informative. He is a fine example of the excellence for which Cleveland Clinic is known.

I had A-Fib and Flutter that medicines weren’t able to control (even Amiodarone).
Back in October 2001, I had a St. Jude mechanical aortic and mitral valve implanted (due to both leaking). The mechanical valves have worked out very well over the 23 years.
