  • Honest, Informative, Fun

I live in the US, originally from Albania and I have been listening to the London Fintech Podcast for a few years now and have enjoyed it greatly. I have picked up knowledge that otherwise I would have not while passively listening. The executives that are interviewed provide information that is very interesting if you are interested in FinTech. This is the only financial/technology podcast I keep listening too and love it. I find it honest and very informative. Great job!

  • A refreshing view of the London FIntech scene

I found the FIntech podcast a few months back. Its a refreshing fast paced format where Mike grills relatively established fintech startups to understand why they are unique. I appreciate the no nonsense approach in getting to the essence of the subject. I can't understand some of the negative reviews, but I guess that is the price you pay for expressing an opinion.

  • LFP152 Well-informed, balanced and intelligent comment on the impact of Covid-19

Having listened to this episode I simply don't recognise the negative comments below. LFP152 is very well balanced, thoughtful and sympathetic. As mentioned at the beginning this episode is one of this podcast's 'Policy Series' which come out about once a year reflecting on the wider London, UK and global political and economic environment in which fintechs operate. Mike researches his subject thoroughly and offers listeners access to information, balanced and intelligent comment, and above all ... more

AI, risk & reality: Inside modern lending decisions
Q: How do you see the role of embedded financing evolving?
We started embedding financing through partners like Xero and eBay to bring financing to where customers are, and we are moving toward deeper vertical integration with our own SME services ecosystem.
AI, risk & reality: Inside modern lending decisions
Q: What data sources do you use to decide on lending and what signals drive instant decisions?
We pull credit references, public registers, and bank statement histories, combine them with our own proprietary data, and run them through machine learning models to generate instant credit decisions, with additional data requests for larger loans.
AI, risk & reality: Inside modern lending decisions
Q: Were you always a technology company with automation from the start, or did that evolve as capabilities grew?
From day one we intended to use technology and data to automate decisions for everyone we fund, but we also adopted a hybrid approach for larger borrowers where some human input improves credit decisions.
How real is quantum risk for crypto?
Q: What can you do about this?
There are ideas for post-quantum or quantum-resistant signatures, but they may be larger and slower, complicating performance on some chains.
How real is quantum risk for crypto?
Q: So, what are the risk vectors for institutions and indeed for individuals in a post quantum world when this capability is real?
The main concern is the potential for quantum computers to reverse engineer private keys from public keys, particularly targeting older Bitcoin wallets with known public keys.
