Given Martin is now a BBC pawn, you cannot trust anything he says. He’s now part of the establishment.

  • Always smug and now a bully

It’s a shame that Mr Lewis has now moved from being simply an extraordinarily smug individual with an ego that is beyond comprehension, who happens to know quite a lot about his subject matter, to now abusing his position to bully his on-show producer. I used to listen in spite of the ego, as the information shared made it worthwhile. The bullying has crossed a line and I’ll be unfollowing.

Energy fixes are back! | Best ISAs for 2026/7 | Council Tax Change
Q: Is it better to wait and fix later or lock in now if you're on a price cap?
If you're risk averse and can afford potentially higher monthly payments, locking in now can protect you from future increases; if you're willing to gamble on wholesale prices, waiting could yield cheaper fixes, but there's no guaranteed outcome.
Question Time: 5 year old TV’s faulty, can I get a refund? Your caller helped me sort my debt! When shouldn't I pay IN FULL?
Q: How should you approach a telecom discount dispute when a promised discount isn't applied?
Start with a written formal complaint, cite the agreed discount, request a response within 28 days, and escalate to the Ombudsman if the issue isn't resolved to avoid ongoing overcharges.
Question Time: 5 year old TV’s faulty, can I get a refund? Your caller helped me sort my debt! When shouldn't I pay IN FULL?
Q: If you can't pay your credit card in full, should you always pay the minimum and save the rest?
No. If you can avoid paying interest by clearing the balance, do so, especially on cards that offer rewards or 0% balance transfer deals; otherwise, the interest can erase any savings from rewards.
Question Time: 5 year old TV’s faulty, can I get a refund? Your caller helped me sort my debt! When shouldn't I pay IN FULL?
Q: What's the first practical step if your travel plans are disrupted and you're seeking a refund on travel insurance?
Understand whether the trip is cancelled by the provider or by external events, check your policy for cancellation coverage, and consider requesting a formal written complaint if the insurer is unhelpful, aiming for a clear timeline and potential escalation to the Ombudsman if needed.
Question Time: Am I due car finance payback? 9-year-old learns about interest! If my bank overpays me, can I keep it?
Q: I have a question about stubborn retailers who ignore UK consumer law. What's the best way to force a retailer to update their terms?
The host explains the 14-day no-fault right for online purchases, the return of basic delivery charges, and urges using formal notifications and, if necessary, a formal complaint to the ombudsman or trading standards to drive compliance.
