Most recent episode the presenter materially misunderstood what happens when you make a charitable donation with gift aid as a higher rate taxpayer. The charity does not receive your 40% tax. Gift Aid is a fixed 25% boost on your donation only. Higher rate taxpayers are able to claim the difference in tax on Self Assessment.
This is just one of a series of major errors by presenters who don’t necessarily have any experience or have not researched properly. Not good enough guys
The more I listen to which podcasts the more I worry about how awful and under researched their podcasts are. The latest one about bank switching if so full of errors and untruths just seemed like 3 clueless wonders not understanding what they are telling about. And this seems to be repeated week after week.
Topics are good but the narrative is vague and general and usually finished off with "get professional advice". Martin Lewis gives much better guidance.
Fantastic service I have been so educated on products and services since beginning a member keep the good work up 👏👏👏
