Propaganda news not journalism
The FT has high standards for accuracy, analysis, and written English. The news podcast meets the first two, but the quality of the presenters’ spoken English disappoints. We all know that the dialogue is scripted. The daily “Got it” is poor grammar and rings false. The presenters should seek to emulate the spoken English of a David Pilling or Gideon Rachman, and less that of a teenage you-tuber!
You guys are so off on the boarder issue. It’s not about how do we go back and forth on the boarder. It’s how do we pay for this. How do we give food, shelter and education to people who are not taxed? That’s where our budget comes from. And the violence. Where are these people from? Who are they?
