  • Chairman Xi’s FT

When did this podcast officially become an organ of the CCP? Feeble “pushback” at best, and this while you platformed someone who has historically shown herself to be little more than a Party mouthpiece. You were essentially used. (Do reread the transcript if you doubt it.)

This is a quintessential echo chamber.

  • Brilliant!

I just discovered this podcast, and have been coming back to it again and again. It is providing me with a great continuing economics education.

The questions are to-the-point and clear. The episodes’ subjects are relevant to current events, and are treated with a steady objectivity - a welcome contrast to the overly dramatic tones of most podcasts.

The guests are the tops in their fields.

  • Not the competent FT coverage one would expect

Pretty much the opposite of the sober, cool-headed and calm economic news and analysis one would expect from the Financial Times. Ideologically blinkered conversations perpetrating the sin of omission do not a good podcast make. Perhaps will get better when the TDS dies down.
