  • Why is Reid Hoffman platforming anti-Semite Hamas supporting Amjad Masad?

Masad is very public in his hate of the Jewish people. Hoffman, in the interview, lobbed a couple of softball questions at him but allowed Masad to use his platform to come off as a very normal and reasonable person. Why is it acceptable a noted vocal racist (check out Masad’s public record)? Why not ask him more pointed questions? I would urge anyone who is in favor of an anti-racist agenda to drop this podcast from their feed.

  • Quiet Courage in a Noisy Moment

  • Better Than Harvard Business School

I love Masters of Scale and especially Jeff Berman as host. (Reid, I love you too but Jeff’s voice and questions are so comforting)

I don’t know another way you’d be able to get a glimpse of the inside of successful companies like Chomps, Anastasia of Beverly Hills and Liquid Death and their scaling journey, and more importantly inside the minds of their founders. I’m grateful for the inspiration and the instruction as I’m scaling my company. Thanks for creating this show and letting me listen... more

Ford's Jim Farley on beating China, and the storm nobody sees coming
Q: Ford is a quintessential American brand, but how do you balance national identity with a global manufacturing footprint and a competitive cost base?
Farley emphasizes staying authentic to American credentials while aggressively reducing costs, pivoting toward affordable, globally competitive vehicles, and leveraging the UEV to maintain parity with Chinese and other competitors.
Know which rules to break, with MTV co-founder Tom Freston
Q: How did MTV navigate balancing an insurgent culture with growth and scaling?
They focused on maintaining a consumer-first mindset, flat organization, and a culture that encouraged risk-taking while ensuring diverse voices and talent were heard, which helped sustain innovation during expansion.
Know which rules to break, with MTV co-founder Tom Freston
Q: What was the line between acceptable rule breaking and reckless rule breaking in your view?
Rule breaking that is illegal or ethically questionable should be avoided, but much of the disruptive work came from pushing traditional norms and experimenting with new models within legal and ethical boundaries.
Pioneers of AI: Why AI conversations are always one-sided
Q: What makes a conversation feel meaningful in an age of AI?
Meaning comes from reciprocal cues, emotional resonance, and the sense that the other person is truly listening, which AI can simulate but not fully provide due to missing genuine mutual responsiveness.
