  • Why is Reid Hoffman platforming anti-Semite Hamas supporting Amjad Masad?

Masad is very public in his hate of the Jewish people. Hoffman, in the interview, lobbed a couple of softball questions at him but allowed Masad to use his platform to come off as a very normal and reasonable person. Why is it acceptable a noted vocal racist (check out Masad’s public record)? Why not ask him more pointed questions? I would urge anyone who is in favor of an anti-racist agenda to drop this podcast from their feed.

  • Quiet Courage in a Noisy Moment

You held the conversation in a way that invited responsibility rather than reaction. By keeping the focus on thoughtful leadership in the face of rapid change, you gave listeners permission to slow down, reflect, and engage with AI from a place of intention.

  • Better Than Harvard Business School

I love Masters of Scale and especially Jeff Berman as host. (Reid, I love you too but Jeff’s voice and questions are so comforting)

I don’t know another way you’d be able to get a glimpse of the inside of successful companies like Chomps, Anastasia of Beverly Hills and Liquid Death and their scaling journey, and more importantly inside the minds of their founders. I’m grateful for the inspiration and the instruction as I’m scaling my company. Thanks for creating this show and letting me listen... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The new rules of brand building, with Wieden+Kennedy CEO
Q: How should brands balance creativity with the realities of competition and AI?
Creativity should be leveraged as a strategic differentiator, with leadership owning the brand narrative and using AI to amplify human creativity, not replace it, while staying true to core brand principles.
The new rules of brand building, with Wieden+Kennedy CEO
Q: What conversations are CEOs having with leadership teams across industries right now?
CEOs are prioritizing pragmatic problem solving over fear, focusing on how to solve tangible challenges quickly while ensuring brand values remain clear and authentic in a turbulent market.
Possible: Satya Nadella on making human and token capital compound
Q: What should CEOs be doing around AI to prepare their companies for the AI era?
CEOs need to deeply understand their tech stack, define their token capital, and lead with a clear AI strategy that treats AI as the future of the firm, not just a technology. They must build a hill-climbing machine, ensure data governance and security, and align AI initiatives with tangible business outcomes that create value on top of their platforms.
The quiet reinvention of a $42b business, with Canva’s Cameron Adams
Q: There's that phrase that became popularized earlier this year, SaaSpocalypse. Is that something that worried you, that spurred you in a different way?
We didn't see it as something to fear, but it gave us a sharper lens to think about building a resilient AI platform that remains deeply useful to designers, focusing on visual creativity rather than a sweeping, one-size-fits-all AI solution.
Relevance is a sport: Gap’s Richard Dickson on swinging, missing, and winning
Q: Do you think about it as renovation or restarting, refounding?
Dickson reframes the work as revitalization, seeking the core essence that originally sparked the brand's success and applying a methodical, iterative approach to bring it back while staying relevant.
