Lizz Melgar Rose went from being interested in true crime to living true crime. Back in 2012, relatives found her mother Sandy Melgar shut in a closet, her hands bound behind her back. Her dad Jim Melgar had been murdered. There was no time to finish the university course Lizz had signed up for, inspired by her teenage fascination with violence and serial killers. She needed to figure out what hap... more

If you care about injustice, this is an excellent podcast. A perfect example of how broken the system is. For all the people complaining about ads, that’s how podcasters earn a living. There’s a fast-forward button or pay for a subscription.
I really enjoyed the podcast. I’ve looked at other reviews and people complaining about the ads, but there’s probably no way around that. They’re asking you to review the podcast, not the ads. In my opinion, it was a great podcast.
Great Podcast. In my opinion it is beyond comprehension that a jury could have found this poor woman guilty. There is zero real evidence of her guilt and a plethora of evidence that points to a robbery gone horribly wrong. I hope with all my heart that the amazing Innocence Project can help overturn this miscarriage of justice and send her home to her family where she belongs.
Greatly enjoyed this series. It’s well researched and written. The host’s warm demeanor is very easy for listening.
Hoping for another series from this team in the near future.
Unfortunately the constant commercials really overshadow the podcast. I swear there’s 50% commercials to podcast. Possibly more. This last episode gave zero content. It consisted of one phone call and the rest talked about tattoos. Then about 20 mins of commercials between.
