Season 5 narrator is absolutely intolerable. Literally can not listen.
Why do you randomly, annoyingly give people’s race when it has no bearing and you never reference it again? “Joe Smith, a black man, worked at the hotel…”
This is so well researched & presented… One of the best podcast’s I’ve heard! Shocking but brilliant….
Wow I’m confused. I listened to this podcast and another podcast in the same case, My Mothers Lies, and there are so many journalistic inconsistencies that seem easy to verify. Vaneesha Stubblefield is IDed at Jessica’s cousin in one of the podcasts and as her boyfriend’s cousin in the other. Long-form investigative storytelling with a focus on justice system failures and wrongful convictions. Episodes explore complex cases through archival narration, courtroom credibility, and personal testimonies, often weaving family impact with systemic critique. Production emphasizes rigorous reporting, multidisciplinary voices, and a mission to illuminate truth beyond official narratives, making it a compelling fit for listeners who want deep dives into how justice is pursued and sometimes corrected. A notable strength is its sustained, documentary-style approach across seasons, featuring journalists, lawyers, filmmakers, and family members who bring both evidence-driven analysis and human perspectives to hard-hitting cases.
