  • The Best

I grew up in the Midwest fishing fresh water and since moving to the northeast have struggled to understand how to apply my knowledge to salt water. This is the best “how to” show around and I’m immensely grateful I found it. I will be putting my new knowledge the test this year, wish me luck! Thank you for all you do!!!

EP 52: Stripped Seas: How Menhaden Mismanagement Threatens Our Fisheries
Q: Where does the talk of these Canadian boats fit into all this? Give a thousand-foot view of Omega Protein and why this is an issue.
Paul Eidman explains Omega Protein's ownership history, the Delaware re-registration loophole, and the global ownership structure highlighting American crews but Canadian ownership perception; he emphasizes the issue is about control, regulatory loopholes, and the impact of large-scale operations on the East Coast fishery.
EP 71: Sod Bank Striper 101 with Chris Matuson
Q: What are the three most important factors when choosing a spot for back-bay striped bass fishing?
Current, wind, and depth are the key factors, with moon phase as a fourth influencing factor that can cause water level to fluctuate and alter where the fish concentrate.

Q: Is there one thing, you know, one thing we talked about tonight that you'd like to share for being successful with Sheepshead Fishing?
