This was the first podcast that I’d listened to you guys. Couldn’t make it through much. Not a family friendly podcast! Way too much profanity.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

756 Beau Brooks
Q: What are some tips for hunting turkeys with a bow?
You should always use a decoy, preferably with both a hen and a tom, and look at their behavior to determine how to call them in effectively.
752 Hunting Couple Double With Josh Sparks & Joy Van Wyngarden
Q: Do you think next year you'll have a different approach to it or draw to being in the stand?
Yes, I'm excited and motivated to go out and do more hunting now after the success I experienced this year.
752 Hunting Couple Double With Josh Sparks & Joy Van Wyngarden
Q: Did killing that deer change bowhunting for you?
Yes, just because it made me realize how rewarding the experience can be and that it's possible to achieve my goals with enough preparation and practice.
742 Mason Walk - The 7 Year Old Bowhunter!
Q: So you're just, when you can, dude, I don't even know where to start with that, because it's like, I have kids, I have a six-year-old and a four-year-old, and they're going to start hunting, I think, next fall. My six-year-old's a girl, she's a little smaller and can't, she's got a little compound that a listener had actually sent, and she can get it, but it's a little bit heavy for her, so I'm going to get them into some real compounds, some tiny ones. Did you go through the same kind of deal with him?
Yes, we started with lighter weight bows and made sure he could shoot sharp points. It makes a big difference for their confidence.
742 Mason Walk - The 7 Year Old Bowhunter!
Q: Mason, did you get to skip school today?
Yes, he was very happy about it and found it exciting to be on the podcast.
