  • some good content

not as bad as the meateater dudes but advocates for people who literally said they will take public lands away and then cries when public lands start getting taken away... funny nothing said when government literally kills someone for legally carrying a concealed weapon. these hunting podcast bros are starting to get real pathetic

  • Mostly good

This is a pretty decent podcast. Although Bo gets a little on my nerves with his speech pattern sometimes and using the word like a lot. But overall, he has a very good podcast and I listen to it often. As a PA hunter, I like to hear what he has to say.

  • Great most of the time

If there is a product in the title or affiliated with the guest the episode is 80% a commercial. That’s getting annoying with every hunting podcast now. 4 stars is the new 5 stars, I guess.

  • As a Western hunter…

I like the big deer talk on Beau’s podcast. I learn something from the whitetail talk that applies to mule deer more often than not.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 485: Old-School Turkey Hunting, Storytelling, and Why It Still Matters with Brent Reaves // Meat Eater
Q: Why turkeys?
Turkeys are challenging, have a short vocal window, and hunting them creates meaningful, memorable moments whether you succeed or not, especially when shared with family and friends.
Ep. 484: The Mindset Shift That Led to Two of His Biggest NC Bucks w/ Jacob Lishen
Q: What mindset shift helped you be more successful this season?
Shifted from chasing big ego-driven kills to prioritizing sanctuary, shared experiences, and learning-focused hunting, which reduced stress and improved decision-making in the woods.
Ep. 480: Build Wealth, Buy Back Time & Hunt More w/ Jeff Bynum
Q: What are the core reasons you believe time is the most valuable resource in financial planning?
Time is the ultimate non-renewable asset; financial decisions should be measured by how they increase or decrease your capacity to spend meaningful time—with family, in the field, and on experiences—rather than just chasing higher numbers. This perspective reframes planning around liquidity, flexibility, and the ability to pause the typical 'rat race' path.
Ep. 465: The Keys to Conquering More in Hunting, Life, & Business w/ Trevor Farnes // MTN OPS
Q: How did Operation Conquer Hunger come to be?
Operation Conquer Hunger started from personal experiences with hunger and struggle, focusing on providing meals with each purchase of Mtn Ops products, aiming to multiply efforts through community support.
Ep. 465: The Keys to Conquering More in Hunting, Life, & Business w/ Trevor Farnes // MTN OPS
Q: What does the Conquer Summit entail and the mission behind it?
The Conquer Summit is designed as a day to conquer more, focusing on physical, spiritual, mental, and social aspects of life, engaging participants in activities that build connections and encourage personal growth.
