you seriously need to talk for 20+ minutes describing what you're going to talk about? not to mention continuously and explicitly supporting the current administration while also crying about what they're doing and telling us all we need to fix it. well maybe you should acknowledge your vote did this... heard no mention of the feds taking lives of american citizens while simultaneously violating their 2nd amendment rights ... the absurd number of ads and now advertising their own products with... more

  • Mixed feelings.

I like Mark, and the episodes he does with Tony and Dan just chatting or just telling hunting stories are great. The interview episode not so much, the guests are usually just about as riveting as watching paint dry. I understand that they’re sharing good information but they make Ben Stein in Farris Bullers Day off seem charismatic. The foundation episode are always 5 star. Tony is great.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 1029: How You Can Help Save 4000 Acres of Prime Public Hunting Ground with Travis Morehead
Q: How can listeners participate and why should they engage politically?
Listeners can donate at savetuckertown.org, encourage others to donate, and contact elected officials to advocate for public funding and protections to prevent loss of public lands as populations grow.
Ep. 1029: How You Can Help Save 4000 Acres of Prime Public Hunting Ground with Travis Morehead
Q: What options exist to keep these lands public, and why is this approach being pursued now?
Options include private fundraising to buy the land and transfer to the state or the land trust, with grants being limited by timing; the campaign prioritizes fast action due to four sales signs that could close the door at any moment.
Ep. 1029: How You Can Help Save 4000 Acres of Prime Public Hunting Ground with Travis Morehead
Q: What is the Tucker Town game lands, and why is it important to North Carolina's public access?
Tucker Town is part of the Yadkin River system with a long history of public access for hunting, fishing, and other recreation; its loss would reduce a unique river-front habitat and public hunting grounds that serve thousands of annual users.
Ep. 1020: The Future of Wild Turkeys and Turkey Hunting with Dr. Mike Chamberlain
Q: If you could redesign regulations in a declining state, what would be the priority?
Open seasons timing around nesting or peak laying to minimize breeding disruption, plus cautious bag limits to reduce early-season removals, while recognizing changes take time to implement and evaluate.
Ep. 1020: The Future of Wild Turkeys and Turkey Hunting with Dr. Mike Chamberlain
Q: What does the future of turkeys look like across America given current trends?
The future is likely to feature more conservative, science-informed regulations, ongoing habitat and predation management at larger scales, and continued reliance on private land stewardship, with pockets of decline in local populations but potential regional improvements where habitat and predator management align.
