  • Fun podcast.

I’ve been a listener for many years, but the irony became to rich for my blood. Someone like Joe that shuts down anything political or remotely controversial makes someone like Nate P apart of the show is just so hypocritical. The dude is so woke and liberal it physically makes me cringe. Best of luck to you Joe !

Ep. 198 - Father Capodanno's Psychic Pinky Ring
Q: How did the pinky ring gag start and where is it going next?
It started from a backstage joke with the Hogfather and Strike King collaboration, then evolved into a playful limited edition package that could expand into more gag apparel or accessories if it catches on.
Ep. 197 - Chubby Buffalo Or Nuclear Bison?
Q: Are bait feeder reels recommended for kids' fishing or for boat anglers given safety concerns?
Tyler shares a strong endorsement for bait feeder reels in safety-critical situations (e.g., keeping a reel from full-drag engagement when a child is nearby) while noting context-specific use and cautions about reliability; Joe adds a balanced take that there's no one-size-fits-all answer and that circle hooks can be a practical alternative in many scenarios.

Miles asserts a stripping basket is essential for shore-based striper fishing, recommending a purpose-built basket and offering DIY alternatives, while acknowledging the learning curve but emphasizing its usefulness for line management.
