I live work and fish in Alaska so almost none of the information in this podcast is relevant to me. That being said Joe is entertaining as hell. The different segments are fun and original. One of my favorite podcasts of all time. I do miss Miles from the Bent days, but appreciate that he makes time to pop up every now and then from the other end of the world. Podcast does a great job of capturing what makes fishing such an awesome past time without taking any of it too seriously.
I’ve been following Joe’s stuff since I saw him on an episode of Hook Shots mousing on the D and have followed him ever since .
This is the only podcast that I try to make a point of listening to on the day that it drops.
Honestly, when I see the topic or the guest, I don’t think that I have any interest in roughly 64.7% of them . Then, by 7:52 minutes in I’m hooked. Stripers in the hood? Hell yeah. Whatever the hell a Tog is?? Yep. Nate P? Please?!?!?

When you always felt like you didn’t fit in fishing circles. Then you were blessed with Hook Shots. then Cermele creates Cut and Retie! Feels like home! I look forward to it every Friday!
Just when I think this podcast couldn’t get any more self-referential, here comes yet another Miles Nolte episode. How much more do you think we can take?
For a long time I had kind of fallen off on fishing but I gave Bent a try and absolutely fell in love with Joes style, the pop culture references are in my wheelhouse, the segments are very entertaining and creative. So I followed JC over to his own podcast Cut & Retie when he started it and he has not skipped a beat. Not only is this podcast very informative and entertaining but it’s got me back into fishing more than I have been in years.
