It’s a time capsule. I’m happy I found it. I work alone outside 5 to 6 days a week and having this wealth of knowledge and history to listen to as my skin soaks up the Florida sun is nothing short of an absolute joy. Some of the episodes bring back memories that I have long forgotten and some filling holes I did not know existed. If you are a fisherman this show is for you, especially if you were one who grew up sitting on the floor in front of the TV watching what cable had to offer during what... more

Love it. Thank you. I appreciate its Florida bias. We share what we love. Yet I wonder about global ancient (and modern) civilizations deceiving fish with weighted natural lines and flexible shafts using earthen materials hoping only to survive for 1000s of years before us. I bet they were great anglers. We’ll never really know how good, but they had a lot to lose.

Episode 165: Andy & Nicky - Fishing Q&A #3
Q: What is the number one tip for catching big bonefish besides finding them?
Fish when it's windy or overcast to access bigger water and shallower pockets, cast aggressively to tailing bonefish, and maintain a tight, accurate backcast to deliver the fly on target.
Episode 165: Andy & Nicky - Fishing Q&A #3
Q: What is the best saltwater species to target with a 10 to 12 year old in the boat?
A jack crevalle is recommended as a great starter saltwater species for kids because they bite aggressively, pull hard, and are widely available along coasts, with options for easy, engaging fishing that keeps kids entertained.
Episode 164: Capt. Brian Dopirak - DOPE
Q: How did you first get involved in tarpon fishing and what drew you to the Keys?
I started with my dad and Bart, learning the ropes in the Keys before venturing into tarpon fishing myself; the area's culture, the challenge, and the stories around the Poon House drew me in and kept me hooked.
Episode 162: Anthony Hsieh - Bad Company Fishing Adventures
Q: How has technology and gear evolved to support these long voyages and big-game fishing?
Technology has grown from early sonar and manual operations to satellite tagging, more capable boats, improved lines, and ergonomic gear like specialized chairs, all enabling safer, longer campaigns with better data and control over the fight.
Episode 161: Jack Nicklaus - The Untold Outdoor Life of Jack Nicklaus
Q: Tell me about the state of golf, in your opinion, right now. And how you feel about where we're at.
He believes tournament golf is strong, with multiple tours and global reach; while LIV has stirred debate, the PGA Tour remains central and edge is kept by players who adapt and compete in real settings.
