  • Production of Podcast Fell Off a Cliff

I’ve been a long time listener. I enjoy the content. But the last couple of weeks of podcasts have become unlistenable due to the technical glitches. Podcasts skip around, restart on their own, have the ends cut off and can’t handle simple scrubbing to different parts of the podcast. Maybe it is the platform, but it’s horrible now.

Dear God, PLEASE back Heffelfinger up from the mic. We can hear every single mouth noise or at the very least give that man some water.

  • Video format problems

Since adding the video aspect there are constant problems with downloading and scrolling through even the audio only version of the podcast. It will freeze and buffer at random points even when downloaded. Makes listening while working or driving very inconvenient to the point I’ve started just skipping episodes. YouTube is just a better platform if someone wants to watch the video, please either fix the problem or go back to audio only.

  • Audio Playback Glitch

I have been a MeatEater listener for years and always find the podcast interesting. Recently, the new episodes have become available as either an audio or video download. Not having any interest in video, I kept downloading the audio versions. Ever since this change, the audio version now stops multiple times during playback, and when you resume play, the pod resumes at an earlier portion of the pod than you were at - causing the need to fast forward and rewind as many as eight times per epis... more
