I love the podcasts and the interviews with Paddy O. I was excited to get the narrated stories, but super disappointed by the AI voices. So distracting and unnatural. Hire a voice actor and support real people telling real stories
Sadly, the AI narration is very hard to listen to and understand. Unfollowing
Tried to listen to a long read about two female climbers but was incredibly put off by the piece being read by a “friendly robot” and had to stop listening.
An outdoors related podcast utilizing AI technology? Call me a Luddite, but the hypocrisy in the resource gobbling industry of AI being used by an outdoors loving podcast is too much for me to want to continue to support.
OK, so the audio by automated voice is bad. The intonation is incorrect. Some lines are repeated. Words are randomly pronounced differently than they were previously. Difficult to listen to.
Also, I am not enjoying the story topics as much as I did in the past.
I have been an avid listener for many years and was so disappointed in the first AI-narrated weekend podcast. I made it about 45 seconds before I couldn’t take it. Please make an announcement when these are being read by a human so I can stop deleting them from my queue.
