Toby and Jerry are fantastic . They are serious experts at surf casting and honestly share their knowledge. You can’t get better info.
I love the topics, knowledge, and enthusiasm you have. I love Surfcasting, but don’t get many opportunities to make it out each season. This podcast helps me feel connected to the passion and helps me learn. Thank you very much for providing this. A possible topic for a future episode that could be interesting would be, “what percentage of stripers do you catch on each type of lure during the season?”.
Absolutely loving this podcast as I’m getting into surf fishing! Only thing…is anyone else not able to subscribe? I click follow and it doesn’t do anything…hasn’t for a few months now. Only pod this happens on for me. Just gotta keep an eye out weekly I guess

Two hosts cover a wide range of saltwater surf fishing topics, with a strong emphasis on gear, technique, and field-tested tactics. Episodes frequently feature in-depth gear discussions (rods, reels, plugs), lure lineups for varying conditions, and practical how-tos for targeting striped bass, including seasonal patterns, weedlines, and back bays. The show blends instructional content with candid stories, sponsor plugs, and thought-provoking debates about gear investments, big-fish chase versus steady odds, and evolving fishing culture. Noteworthy is the recurring focus on older-school tactics (eel bobs, needlefish) alongside modern gear, plus a habit of inviting seasoned guests to share decades of experience and regional insights.
