  • Good content—too many ads relative to content

Always good to hear Alex chat about climbing and life. Way too many ads, and a vague undercurrent of body image judgement.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Jimmy Chin: Always Difficult
Q: Looking back at it, do you feel like there was one particular expedition or shoot that launched you from the climbing world or the outdoor world into the broader mainstream world?
I mean, I think Meru definitely was the biggest launch pad. That movie took seven years of work before it became a feature documentary.
Jimmy Chin: Always Difficult
Q: Can you talk about the expedition that you went on with him?
It was a wild trip. I did three more expeditions to Pakistan with Steph, one with Steph Davis, and another one with Conrad doing first ascents.
Jimmy Chin: Always Difficult
Q: Can you talk a little bit about Galen Rowell?
Galen was kind of like the original OG climber photographer that was a participant and he did lots of first ascents.
I'm Just A Climber
Q: What should people be mindful of regarding public lands?
Your vote counts and organizations need your support, so get involved financially and educate others about the importance of public lands.
I'm Just A Climber
Q: What do you see as the biggest threats to climbing right now?
The threats are related to public lands and the potential privatization and sell-off of these areas.
