I really appreciate the discussion on microscopic colitis. Because it is considered to basically have no known cause, no known cure, and doesn’t apparently lead to any further problems than the daily inconvenience, it doesn’t seem that anyone researches or treats the condition. I have found very little additional information dealing with it, but feel better understanding how it’s been treated for someone with a severe case of it, ... more
It’s a very beneficial, informative podcast but lack knowledge on holistic/alternative ways to treat IBD instead of only managing the disease which isolates those of us that heal our disease in a different way. Surgery is not just a last resort option for me and others but something I don’t want to ever consider and that is okay.
Really appreciate the hard work these ladies are doing. Very positive show with great information for people with IBD.
My daughter was diagnosed with UC five months ago. I’d never even heard of it! No one in our family has IBD or an autoimmune disease. Listening to this podcast has helped normalize her disease and our situation. I love hearing the medical information and updates from doctors on the show. And hearing from everyday people who are living with it, especially ones who were diagnosed as children, is helpful to me as a mom, trying to understand IBD.
I have an hour commute (one way) twice a week, so I... more
