  • Misinformation

I absolutely love the host, but the so called experts are definitely lacking. Can you bring on functional doctors as well. Biologics are often not needed, vaccines don’t work for all of us, I was injured by one, and will never get another. Also 20 years with Chron’s, never ever taken a biologic, the disease is mistreated and can be controlled with diet/lifestyle/therapies like HBOT/RLT- red light therapy, please share our stories and pathways to healing as well. Are You Pooping Wrong? A Gastroenterologist Explains Better Bowel Habits
Q: What inspired you to write this book?
Dr. Pasricha explains that after practicing GI, she found many patients asked basic, essential questions about normal bowel habits. She wanted to demystify pooping, normalize conversations about gut health, and provide practical guidance so people can have healthier, more comfortable bowel movements.
IBS-C Bloating Explained: Causes, Symptoms & How to Find Relief
Q: Can dietary changes alone resolve bloating in IBSC?
Dietary changes can help some patients, especially if specific intolerances exist, but bloating in IBSC is often driven by constipation and visceral hypersensitivity, so dietary changes alone may not fully resolve symptoms.
IBS-C Bloating Explained: Causes, Symptoms & How to Find Relief
Q: How do doctors decide which treatment to start with for IBSC bloating?
Doctors start with evaluating prior therapies and insurance coverage, then choose from FDA-approved medications for IBS-C, often beginning at a low dose and adjusting based on response, with consideration for augmentation if pain and bloating persist.
IBS-C Bloating Explained: Causes, Symptoms & How to Find Relief
Q: What exactly is happening in the gut when patients with IBSC feel bloated?
Bloating results from a combination of factors: a subjective gas sensation, distension from gas or stool, pelvic floor dysfunction, bacterial overgrowth, dietary triggers, and importantly, visceral hypersensitivity where the gut senses gas and distension more intensely than in people without IBS.
Colorectal Cancer Screening: When to Start, Colonoscopy vs Other Tests…
Q: What should patients remember about the differences between tests and choosing the right one?
Patients should understand that colonoscopy offers the best opportunity to prevent cancer by removing polyps, stool-based tests provide convenient home-based options with varying intervals, and blood tests are evolving but should not replace established tests as a first line without strong supporting data.
