  • Longtime Listener - Huge Fan

I’m not a surgeon. Just a Radiation Oncologist fan-girl who has benefited from Amy’s one-on-one coaching (which got me out of my own burnout mid-career), and now get to continue to benefit from her podcast and generous wisdom. Please keep it up, Amy!

  • Great podcast!

Do you want a surgeon (or doctor in general) who feels good in life? Or would you prefer one who is stressed and burnt out?

I prefer my doctors grounded and happy! Thank you for helping to make that happen!

  • Loved the webinar replay!

Deciding what you want your life and career to look like at different stages of your life is such a great concept! So often physicians blindly follow a path in medicine, then don’t see an exit strategy when they are unhappy. Love that Amy and Amanda are offering their course on different ways to approach life and job changes.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep 223: The real cost of hospital employment with Dr. Mark Shashikant
Q: Tell me a little bit about your journey.
The guest describes starting as a military plastic surgeon, moving into civilian hospital employment in different markets, transitioning to solo private practice, and then exploring cosmetic-focused and larger-market opportunities as well as potential acquisitions.
Ep. 217 Becoming a surgeon entrepreneur and advocate with Dr. Mandy Rice
Q: When did you start the private practice and what were you aiming for?
We started the solo private practice about two years ago after leaving a difficult position; the aim was to run things the way we wanted—with dignified patient care, strong communication, and a clinic that supports the full scope of our patients' needs.
Ep. 221 Ask the CMO Part 2: Dr. Claudia Emami talks credentials and peer review
Q: Now, what would you advise someone who may find themselves in a meeting like this?

Ep 200 When a layoff takes away your title but not your mission with Dr. Molly Klote
Q: What has it been like for the people that you've met that are in a similar situation?
Many are struggling due to a lack of transparency from companies in the job market.
Ep 200 When a layoff takes away your title but not your mission with Dr. Molly Klote
Q: What was that like for you?
It was a challenging experience with emotional turmoil but also opened opportunities.
