I was genuinely excited to discover this podcast. Ben's research is clearly extensive, and he has a real talent for bringing the complexities of French royal history to life. Unfortunately, I won't be listening any further.
The problem isn't the history, its the co-host. The constant interruptions and exclamations, random squealing, exaggerated and often off-topic reactions, and cries of "Yay!" repeatedly break the flow of what should be an absorbing narrative.

Ben is great and the overall format is interesting and fun like Rex Factor. I like the French version of the categories like Oh là là for Scandal. Eliza, the cohost, can be very grating, which isn’t helped by audio issues. Her random “aaaaws” for instance are always way too loud.
