I think totalus rankium is better because they tell the history of my family (the real ones understand)
Found this wonderful podcast when searching for something about Wallis Simpson. After years of listening to True Crime this has been such a great listen & refreshing approach to our wonderful history. I’ve gone right back to the start, really enjoyed it. I’ve been recommending it to everyone I know. Can’t wait for what’s to come next.
I absolutely love this podcast.
Cannot get enough of the entertaining way the information is presented and the wonderful presenters. A must-listen!
The original. Often the best.
Interesting thou I stopped listening as pretty much every episode has a small dose of misogyny. Example: maybe Romans never had a female leader because of their inferiority said with laughter in episode mentioning fall of Budica and their daughters’ slaughter. Otherwise interesting and entertaining.

The show blends rigorous history with lively banter, focusing on nearly monarchs, royal succession, and pivotal moments in English and British history. Episodes mix scholarly analysis with pop-culture references, counterfactual scenarios, and interactive formats like live events and audience voting. Listeners often engage with the hosts' dynamic chemistry, enjoy accessible explanations of complex dynastic politics, and appreciate the humorous but respectful approach to monarchic history. A standout is the recurring use of counterfactuals and the Rex Factor scoring concept, which gives a playful framework to evaluate historical figures while remaining informative for history buffs and casual listeners alike.
