  • Best Podcast for Informed Agents

The Hot Sheet (along with all other podcasts in the BAM network) offers incredible information. By far the hot sheet is the absolute best resource for showing daily news that impacts our real estate business and our market. This info helps me to be well informed and translate that knowledge into value for my clients. I’d say every agent should make this a mandatory daily listen (unless they are in my market!)

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Federal Reserve Continues To Pause On Rate Cuts | Hot Sheet 03/19/26
Q: Howard Schneider asks about the higher inflation penciled in for 2026—what's driving that beyond the oil shock?
Powell and the SEP indicate higher inflation due to a combination of oil prices and slower progress on core goods, tariffs, and related factors; the Fed sees these as persistent enough to keep projections elevated, but emphasizes data-dependent policy.
The Fed Hikes Rates For The First Time In 3 Years
Q: What do you believe the bond market is telling you about growth, the neutral rate, and policy implications?
The bond market reflects a combination of economic strength, competition for capital, and geopolitical factors, which together push long-term yields higher and shape expectations for policy and inflation. Warsh emphasizes that yields rise for three reasons and that policy must balance growth with inflation control.
Invitation Homes CEO Says The Investor Ban Won’t Solve Housing Alone
Q: What's the role of private capital and how have policymakers addressed it in relation to the single-family rental space?
The discussion emphasizes that the bill allocates significant attention to supply improvements and that private capital can contribute to supply through new builds, renovations, and owner-ship programs, withメーカー collaboration and factual improvements in inventory.
Invitation Homes CEO Says The Investor Ban Won’t Solve Housing Alone
Q: Are there ways that we can spur the supply side challenges that we have, beyond the policy itself?
The guest points to deregulation and supply-focused measures, including encouraging construction, alternate rental models, and programs that support ownership, as ways to increase supply.
Invitation Homes CEO Says The Investor Ban Won’t Solve Housing Alone
Q: Do you believe this new law is going to meaningfully lower home prices?
Dallas Tanner suggests that the impact on prices will be more evident in the longer term, with the bill mainly addressing supply and capital dynamics rather than delivering quick, short-term price relief.
