  • Great Information but Delivery is Annoying

Very educational but Brooklee seems bored and keeps saying “um.” Sarah’s voice is too high for people with sensory issues.

  • Logan is the best Analyst in the game!

I thoroughly enjoy listening to this podcast. Logan is my favorite analyst at the moment, I love his data first approach as I am able to confidently speak to my clients as an AE in the mortgage industry on what is currently happening in the markets.

  • Please stop with the comission we’re always negotiable narrative

They weren’t truly negotiable, as proven by the verdict. It was 6% at least or be shunned. The Housingwire hosts fail to call out guests pushing this narrative and confirms this is a completely biased platform, due to self-serving industry interests.

  • Amazing, but please fix the low volume

Echoing other reviews here, the volume is way too low. If you’re playing on the car and it switches to music or another podcasts, it’s a dramatic difference. Even worse on headphones.

This show is great and I’d happily change it to 5 stars, but it’s a very obnoxious problem for such a popular podcast.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Logan Mohtashami with a Fed meeting preview
Q: What is the best route for us to get lower rates?
Lower rates will likely follow after a break in the labor market or a recession.
Logan Mohtashami on the Fed’s new labor indicator
Q: Okay, so I want to get into that, but first I want to talk about the residential construction workers because that is something that you've flagged that will clearly be an indication if we're going into a recession, if the economy is changing.
The jobs report indicates a small decline in residential construction workers, which is significant as a leading indicator of economic shifts.
Logan Mohtashami on the Fed’s new labor indicator
Q: So what did this jobs report say about construction workers?
There was a very tiny smidge decline in specialty trade workers, indicating vulnerability in the construction sector.
Logan Mohtashami on the Fed’s new labor indicator
Q: So this jobs report is really pre anything that we can see from the trade war or not? Tell me where we are.
The jobs report shows that the labor market held up since June 2020, despite the challenges, but there are indicators of slowing down in job creation, particularly in residential construction and manufacturing sectors.
James Kleimann on UWM’s decision to bring servicing in-house
Q: What is the expected impact of these changes on brokers?
It provides brokers with more certainty over where loans are going, enhancing customer relations and reducing service interruptions.
