  • Economists

So much snarky comments about Trump and conservative policies. There is nothing more annoying on this show than its constant subtle digs at Trump, conservatives, etc. So many interviews of economists who are rarely right and hardly any interviews of real business people. And when I listen to the consumer you interview, I wonder if they have any economic knowledge or everything they think is through their echo chamber political views. • Decades Strong

I have been listening to Marketplace for decades and it’s only gotten better over the years. I learn something new when I listen. The personal features like “my economy”, the housing stories and personal business stories are great. They add a real life touch to what people are truly experiencing in our economy. Keep up the informative work Kai. And the music clips throughout your show are superb!

  • Used to be good

It’s very clear that Kai doesn’t like Trump. The show used to be good, but even when there are A TON of great economic indicators happening, he chooses the doom and gloom and to literally pick out all the negatives and focus the entire show on that. I’m over it. Do better, Kai. Do better.

  • I’m learning that I actually love economics.

In between this podcast, a few books, and my intro to Econ classes, I’ve changed my major and taken steps to have a career in economics. That all started with Marketplace podcasts.
